This is a small site for a one-person lesson studio. There are no accounts, no logins, and no forms that send me anything. Here is everything it does.

What I collect myself

Nothing. There is no contact form on this site — the Contact page is a plain email link, so if you write to me, you are simply sending me an email. I keep those the way anyone keeps their inbox.

Counting visitors

If you press Sure on the cookie notice, this site loads the Meta Pixel — a small script from Facebook that tells them a visit happened.

I use it for one reason: I run the occasional Facebook ad, and it tells me whether anyone actually arrives. It counts page visits. It does not read what you type, and I never see anything that identifies you — I only see totals.

If you press No thanks, or ignore the notice entirely, none of that loads. No Facebook script is downloaded and no Facebook cookie is written. Your answer is remembered in your own browser's storage, so I am not asked to store anything about you to remember that you said no.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat that as a no without asking.

Other things the pages load

  • Google Fonts — the pixel typefaces come from Google's servers, so loading any page tells Google your IP address.
  • My Music Staff — the booking and student portal boxes on the Lessons and Existing Students pages are provided by My Music Staff. Anything you enter there goes to them, under their privacy policy, not mine.
  • GitHub Pages — the site is hosted by GitHub, which keeps standard server logs.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you can ask me what I hold about you and ask me to delete it. Given the above, the honest answer is usually "only our emails" — but ask any time and I will tell you straight.
